Our Studies
At The Forge, we gather weekly around God’s Word with intentionality and purpose. In each season, we work through a biblically grounded book, study guide, and/or video series — reading or watching on our own throughout the week and sharpening one another through thoughtful discussion when we meet. Every man purchases his own copy or access so he can engage deeply, note what stands out, and allow God’s truth and the work of the Holy Spirit to shape him personally.
Our aim is simple: to grow as disciples of Christ, together, in a way that produces real transformation.

The Measure of a Man: Twenty Attributes of a Godly Man
by Dr. Gene A. Getz
The Measure of a Man has taught hundreds of thousands of men around the world how to live according to God's direction--faithfully, lovingly, and spiritually. Get ready for it to change your life as well.
True masculinity is not measured by strength, wealth, or position, but by twenty biblical qualities drawn from the Apostle Paul's letters to his young protégés Timothy and Titus. Inspiring, encouraging, and practical, this classic book shows how you can measure up to Christ's fullness as a husband, father, and mentor to other men.
Past Studies
Stand Firm and Act Like Men: Becoming the Man You Were Created to Be Instead of Who the World Says You Are
by Joby Martin & Charles Martin
After completing The Titus Ten, our next study will build on the same foundation of biblical manhood but press even more deeply into courage, identity, and spiritual resilience. Stand Firm and Act Like Men challenges men to reject cultural confusion, embrace God’s calling, and pursue strength rooted in Christ—not in worldly values.
This study aligns with the heart of The Forge:
-
Standing firm on truth.
-
Rejecting passivity and cultural compromise.
-
Developing bold, Christ-centered masculinity.
-
Growing into the men God designed us to be.
The Titus Ten: Foundations for Godly Manhood
by J. Josh Smith
The Titus Ten lays out ten biblical principles for becoming a godly man, drawn directly from Paul’s letter to Titus. The book calls men to live with conviction, humility, courage, and purpose — grounded in God’s Word and strengthened by brotherhood.
We chose this study because it speaks directly to who we desire to become as a group: men defined by character, integrity, faithfulness, and spiritual maturity. Each chapter challenges us to look honestly at our lives and pursue growth that honors Christ.
